Monument to the Monday Demonstrations of 1989

The Monday demonstrations of 1989 were a series of peaceful, diverse and successful mass protests. We propose the corresponding monument as an assemblage of multiple political and festive elements, flags, banners and standards. It is made of 8 metal poles supporting 5 metal plates of different size, brought together by an ample almost-circular element embracing all  components of the group. The different banners, plates and signs host surfaces made of light bulbs, displaying a variety of texts and drawings, that change throughout the day and through the years.
